    "I began this series of angel paintings in 1999. The first ones seemed to appear in my work as background images, but then slowly evolved into entire pictures. They are not typical angels, but represent helping spirits that surround us.

   The poems came later, inspired by the paintings. I never intended them as explanations, each having its own individual voice. They come from a part of me that only art touches.

   All nineteen images and poems are bound together into one book."

crying out
from the bottom
of nature
we are
surrounded.
